Columbia Press LLC is an independent publishing company located in Salem, Oregon. It’s first book on Dynamic Energetic Healing came out in 2006 and garnered 4 publishing awards. It continues to sell well throughout the country and Europe as well through its European distributor Gazelle Books. It is planning to release its second book on Essential Self-Care for Caregivers and Helpers on July 1st of 2012. It’s author, Howard Brockman, LCSW, has written this book for professional and non-professional caregivers and helpers. It addresses issues such as vicarious and secondary trauma, energetic boundaries and conscious empathy as a way to protect yourself from psychotoxic contamination energetic vampires, leading to burnout. Specific exercises including visualizations, energy psychology strategies and Bach flower essences are explained within the context of the topic. Nonlocal healing is also discussed as a way to positively influence all of those around you through your attitude and energetic field, especially if you are connected to Source and are able to keep referencing from your heart field. A discussion of media and how it compromises our self-care is particularly relevant and interesting. Columbia Press LLC is excited to this new contribution to its product line.
